Imagem Music USA (IMU) has signed a joint venture with Cutcraft Music Group, headed up by Rebel Management founder, Katrina Sirdofsky. In its first move, the new JV signs up-and-coming artist Chet Faker, writer/producer CP Dubb, and singer/songwriter V Bozeman. For more on Cutcraft, visit www.cutcraftmusicgroup.com.
In addition to being CEO of Custard Records (James Blunt, Crash King’s) and President of Coldwater Music Publishing/Sony/ATV, Katrina Sirdofsky has played an important role in numerous facets of the music industry. As CEO of Custard, she signed James Blunt with label founder and client Linda Perry and consequently broke all international sales records with her global marketing strategy for James’ debut album, “Back To Bedlam”. From her early days as an indie record store owner to promoting concerts in the San Francisco Bay Area, her diversified background has help launch several stellar careers.  Not surprisingly, artists and producers she has represented have surpassed the 300 million unit mark in worldwide sales.  Her current producer roster features Linda Perry (Pink, Alicia Keys, Christina Aguilera, Gwen Stefani), CP Dubb (Tyga, Casey Veggies, New Boyz, E-40) and Matt Morris, co-managed with Kevin Held (Mary J. Blige, Justin Timberlake, Kelly Clarkson, Christina Aguilera).
CUTCRAFT writer/producer Christopher P Washington (aka CP Dubb), who is based in LA, has worked with artists such as E40, The New Boyz, Ray J, Casey Veggies, and YG among others. His most recent work can be found on Casey Veggie’s “Can I Live,” which features Mac Miller as well as on Tyga’s new album, Careless World, with the hit song “Make it Nasty.”
Hailing from Melbourne, Australia, Chet Faker has carved out his own style that fuses personal stories of love and loss with an electronica soul and elements of an acoustic past, reaching far beyond his homeland. Chet quickly came to everyone’s attention when his cover of “No Diggity” hit # 1 on the worldwide indie music aggregator, Hype Machine. Chet Faker is poised for the next phase of his development, having just signed to Downtown Records for his debut release “Thinking In Textures.”
Singer and songwriter Veronika ‘V’ Bozeman debuted in the spring of 2011, not as solo artist, but as the powerful female vocalist who traded verses with Interscope recording artist Timothy Bloom in his soulful breakout ballad, “Til the End of Time,” from his 2011 EP, The Budding Rose. V co-wrote the hugely popular duet, which captured the attention of the blogosphere. Up till that point, V had developed a working relationship with  top Atlanta producer Polow Da Don, who enlisted her to do vocal production for some of the hottest names in music, including Rihanna, Keri Hilson, Monica, El DeBarge, and Patti LaBelle, among many others. V is currently in the studio tracking songs for her forthcoming mixtape due out later this year, and performing at festivals and sold out shows with Cee Lo Green.
“Working with the team at Imagem Music has been an amazing experience,” said Katrina Sirdofsky. “Cutcraft has been an incredible creative outlet for me to be able to provide these talented artist and managers with a support system that allows me to use all of my experiences to help shape their careers in a meaningful way.”
“I could not be happier in welcoming Katrina to the Imagem family,” said Richard Stumpf, President of IMU. “She’s one of the most well respected music executives out there and the fact that she chose Imagem as a partner reflects our shared, progressive vision of what it means to be a music publisher today.”
