Love Forgives

Unforgiveness is a killer. It is a trap that imprisons the person who will not forgive someone else. It’s not easy. It’s not a “lip-service” thing (though speaking forgiveness can be the action that starts the process). It’s about letting go. For some reason, our human nature sometimes wants to hold on to hurt, wrongs and bitterness. We should know better, but we are foolish sometimes.

Sometimes it’s a simple little private thing that goes on in your heart and mind. You just decide to give it to God and forgive that person.

Today’s Love Dare:
Whatever you haven’t forgiven in your mate, forgive it today. Let it go. Just as we ask Jesus to “forgive us our debts” each day, we must ask Him to help us “forgive our debtors” each day as well. Unforgiveness has been keeping you and your spouse in prison too long. Say from your heart, “I choose to forgive.”

This is the start of healing.
