Alright…on to other things:
The new issue of Heaven’s Metal Fanzine is at the printer. It doesn’t even exist yet in print form – except these 3 copies I had made at Kinko’s. Turns out the print schedule we have won’t deliver or ship any copies out until August 31, which means we won’t have copies available at the special Up From the Ashes III festival this next weekend, which is a celebration of HM Magazine’s 25th anniversary. Well, after picking up my 3 initial photocopies (just so I’d have something to show some of the folks at the fest), I found out if it’d be possible for anyone to print these copies from various Kinko’s locations around the country. Well, it is with the booklet PDF document a person at Kinko’s made. Now, there are a couple of things different about this issue than the final one that is being printed at our printer in Michigan.
First, they both will have color covers. Secondly, if you’re willing to pay for the extra cost (total cost for a color copy is anywhere from $8 to $10), your copy can be color throughout. And trust me … seeing all 100 of those album covers in the “Top 100 Christian Metal Albums of All Time” list is pretty sweet.
This issue was a labor of love, so we ask you not to rip us off and make more than 1 copy at your Kinko’s. So, for the first time ever, we are making a PDF version of our Heaven’s Metal fanzine edition available to print out at Kinko’s. Yes, the cost of printing will be all yours, but you can have it in your hands before almost anyone else … and you can customize your copy to be in full color.
(yeah, right-click on the above link and “save as” or “save target as” or “save link as” and save it to your hard drive or jump drive and then upload it at your local Kinko’s or bring it in to your local FedEx Kinko’s and get a single reprint.)
