SHINY TOY GUNS has unveiled “The Background::III” viaYouTube.com/ShinyToyGuns.  The video, which premiered yesterday onARTISTdirect, is a behind-the- scenes look of the Los Angeles electro-rock outfit’s upcoming album III due out October 22 (Five Seven Music). In the 7-minute clip, the band—Carah Faye (vocals), Chad Petree (vocals/guitar), Jeremy Dawson(keyboards/bass) and Mikey Martin (drums)—discuss their coming together as a musical unit and background of various songs on the album.  View it now at:http://youtu.be/100fIGJ0iAY.

In the clip, the group discusses album track “Fading Listening,” heralded byKCRW‘s Jason Bentley, calling the song a “game changer” for the band.   “It erased all previous notions of what the band was about,” he wrote on KCRW.org“The song is automatic and I’ve gotten a very strong response from our listeners when I play it.” Today (Friday, September 21), the “Fading Listening” (Epic Wave mix)from DJ/producer Treasure Fingers made its debut on RCRD LBL.   Wrote Emily Zemler, “So far, the new LP has been teased by the single ‘Fading Listening,’ which is remixed here by DJ/producer Treasure Fingers. This reworked version of the electro-pop number retains the original’s hooky pop feel while infusing it with eclectic beats and an alien-like vocal distortion. Perfect for the clubs.”

Tigerwine 2020

A Disparate Vintage

On Tigerwine's latest, 'Nothing is for You,' vocalist and lyricist Trobee departs from the band's last effort as a concept record to write about an array subjects. Notably, Trobee tackles his evolution from rigid belief system to an acceptance and understanding of other ideas: "Through touring and becoming close with those very people I was taught to be afraid of, I realized how untrue it all is."

My Epic performing their last final show before COVID-19

Between the White Noise

My Epic's last full-length album came out in 2013; despite a number of EPs along the way, the band's dedication to their craft, lyrical approach, and unyielding approach to let the music come naturally has made them critical darlings. Now, they're learning to interact and feed a rabid fanbase in between albums and in a new normal.
