22 Jump Street<\/em><\/strong>
\nLike Dumb and Dumber To<\/em>, this comedy sequel promises silliness. Dumb humor is funny. You just have to be immature and okay with that. Come on in. Read this blog. It’s safe to laugh here. Inappropriate humor? It’s okay. Unintelligent humor? It’s alright.<\/p>\n

Jonah Hill and Channing Tatum team up again, taking orders from an always-angry Ice Cube, going undercover to stop crime that is taking place on the local college campus. They throw in a lot of tension between bro-mancers Schmidt (Hill) and Jenko (Tatum) that threaten the partnership.<\/p>\n

The most memorable parts of the movie, however, are the comedic lines delivered. There are plenty amidst all the low-brow humor, caricatures and sight gags. I like the one with the twins, who finish each others sentences, miming each word in perfect unison:<\/p>\n

“Oh, snap! Man, we’re still saying the same thing.
\nThis is amazing!
\nCarrots!
\nPumpernickel!
\nGlow sticks!
\nTWINS!!!”<\/p>\n

Schmidt and Hill try their own version of twin talk and stumble all over themselves.<\/p>\n

Schmidt: “That’s crazy. We have that brother connection too.”
\nJenko: “Yeah, mm-hmm.”
\nSchmidt: “Are you ready?”
\nJenko: “Yep.”
\n(they turn to each other and say at the same time)
\nSchmidt: “Pirates!”
\nJenko: “Paper clips!”
\nSchmidt: “Babies!”
\nJenko: “Bananas!”
\nSchmidt: “Socks!”
\nJenko: “I don’t know!”
\nSchmidt: “Anger!”
\nJenko: “Words!”
\nSchmidt: “Questions!”
\nJenko: “Shoes!”
\nSchmidt: “Boom!”
\nJenko: “Yeah.”<\/p>\n

It’s probably not better than 21 Jump Street<\/em>, but it’s funny and everyone will hope that the drug dealers get nabbed in the end – all without harming our heroes, who of course get into danger. I’d call this one “a rental.” You won’t be mad that you lost two hours of your life, but if you paid big bucks for the blu-ray, you might be kinda bumming. The outtakes that run before and under the credits are pretty funny, as they purposefully let out the sequel secrets, which run numerous. The bonus footage really adds value on this one, without taking itself too seriously as a film. I like “The Dramatic Interpretation of 22 Jump Street,” which tells the story of the film with all the jokes removed.<\/p>\n
