whew!
\ni have made a realization that never dawned on me until now.
\nthe adage “one day at a time” is a coping mechanism.
\nit’s there to help someone with mounting, overwhelming problems focus and take care of the only thing they can possibly get their heads and hands around – the next 24 hours or so.<\/p>\n
and sometimes a full day seems impossible, but it helps calm the nerves.
\nit covers a lot of ground, too. focusing on “one day at a time” means you let go of yesterday (the past) and concern yourself with what you can control (not exactly), adapt and\/or deal with – the present.<\/p>\n
4 I sought the Lord, and he answered me;
\nhe delivered me from all my fears.
\n5 Those who look to him are radiant;
\ntheir faces are never covered with shame.
\n6 This poor man called, and the Lord heard him;
\nhe saved him out of all his troubles.
