It’s been a banner year for Skillet, selling out everywhere they go — including Russia, where the band just returned from — releasing a blockbuster album in 2012, and being able to continue the momentum through all of 2013. They also recently landed a new No. 1 single for consecutive weeks. From the band’s camp:
Just as the band boarded flights from Kiev, Ukraine to the U.S., they heard the news that their current single “Not Gonna Die” held onto the No. 1 spot on the Christian Rock charts for the third week, is Top 20 and climbing on mainstream Active Rock, and their Hot AC single, “Fire and Fury” is Top 10.
The band is up for a number of HM Awards, and, while it’s hard to top selling out a number of Russian venues, the band will join forces with Third Day (with support from We As Human) to tour the country for a month this spring. Dates:
