The Resonance (Jesse Sprinkle) releases first single, ‘Back for Lapse’

Jesse Sprinkle (along with vocalist Alexandra Wendt and guitarist Kurt Schmidt) is back in music, drumming for The Resonance, and they’ve posted their first single online. (Stream it below, or head to the site and purchase it for $1.) Sprinkle, most popularly known for his earlier work in Demon Hunter and Dead Poetic, describes it to HM as:

It’s melodic and moody rock from Rochester, NY. Dark and powerful. Get out of life and search for freedom.

To me, it (refreshingly) doesn’t sound like a knock-off metalcore, and (never thought I would say this) refreshingly emo. The band is currently preparing for their debut album (to be produced by Terry Taylor). The band will be launching a Kickstarter project in August.
