Keeping with the tradition of getting fans involved, this year the festival has just announced the ultimate fan appreciation program, “BoozleTwist.” The program, powered by CrowdTwist, launches on TheBamboozle.com on February 1 and allows fans to interact and earn points for promotional activities they do online via Facebook, Twitter, Foursquare and on Bamboozle’s website. In turn, they’ll receive amazing Bamboozle rewards and unique VIP artist experiences. For more information please visit: www.thebamboozle.com. In addition, another contest was held, “I Booked Bamboozle” where fans were invited to suggest bands for the 2011 lineup.

In addition to performances, The Bamboozle Festival will feature several events that attendees won’t want to miss. Making its debut this year, The Temple of Boozle will host some of the hottest DJs in the country including Wait What and The Hood Internet, among others. Returning events will include The B-Boy Battle, a breakdancing battle, held on the stage of the same name where the grand prize is the largest cash prize to ever be awarded for a breakdancing competition in the United States.

The Break Contest which, since 2005, has served as the official unsigned band competition of the festival. The winner will receive a performance slot on the main stage and other prizes. Originally held only at New Jersey venues, last year The Break Contest expanded to other states including New York, Pennsylvania and Connecticut. Preliminary rounds began last weekend and finals will be held in April. For more information please visit: www.thebreakcontest.com.
