Fans of Jesse Sprinkle’s new band, Vekora, will be happy to know they’re releasing a holiday single already — even better, it’s with a combination of his old band, Poor Old Lu. “The Brightest Star” was written and recorded straight out of Rochester, NY, Jesse’s hometown, but the credits list is much more interesting. The song was written by vocalist Scott Hunter, with Kurt Schmidt playing guitar, Vekora frontwoman Alexandra Wendt helping on vocals, Jesse’s brother Aaron Sprinkle on guitar, Brian Moore playing bass and Rhodes and with Jesse manning the drums, percussion and acoustic guitars.
