Hunter Dumped Us Here is a self-described “loud emo-indie rock band” from the Midwest. Formed in 2013, the band released I Understand in June 2016. “Cavendish” is the second single from that work. The quartet was “created for the sole purpose of helping friends, family, and strangers get through life together with the help of our music and shows,” vocalist Gabe Reasoner told HM.

Reasoner spoke more specifically about the song:

“It’s written about the challenges that come with being someone that intends to spread love and understanding through art, while trying to overcome the barriers and obstacles in the way. The video portrays those struggles in an extreme, (kind of) exaggerated way. It was shot this year with some of our closest friends and supporters.”

The music video was directed by Mayfield Creative.

If you dig what you hear, the album is available through the group’s Bandcamp, and you can stream it on all major services.
