The 16th installment of the punk rock summer camp will indeed have a healthy dose of punk rock’s most promising prospects. In it’s third year of involvement with Warped Tour, Old Shoe Records will have four different bands from their roster performing throughout the summer, all are available to attending media for interviews.

In just three years Old Shoe Records has gone from a regional punk rock label to one of independent music’s most promising new contributors. Placing a sincere emphasis on restoring the community punk music is synonymous with, Old Shoe Records has left the gimmicks at the door. With new full-length releases in 2010 from FLATFOOT 56, FAR FROM FINISHED, and THE SPARRING the Vans Warped Tour will serve as a national platform to some of the genre’s most ambitious punk rock bands.

FLATFOOT 56 – Releasing their Old Shoe Records’ debut, Black Thorn, this last March, Southside Chicago’s most proven Celtic punk outfit FLATFOOT 56 cemented their reputation by locking down healthy positioning on the BILLBOARD Charts for the first four weeks out, even reaching #2 on the Heatseekers’ Chart. Produced by Johnny Rioux of STREET DOGS, Black Thorn, has been lauded by critics and fans alike as FLATFOOT 56’s finest hour. The 2010 Vans Warped Tour also comes in the same year that brothers Tobin, Kyle, and Justin Bawinkel celebrate the 10th anniversary of FLATFOOT 56.

FAR FROM FINISHED – Hailing from one of punk rock’s most storied locales, Massachusetts’ FAR FROM FINISHED will embark on their summer on the Vans Warped Tour at the same time their third studio effort, Forgettable, hits store shelves. Produced by Jim Siegel (Dropkick Murphys, The Unseen), Forgettable, combines punk rock delivery with some of rock music’s most ambitious instrumentation to create an album of tracks that far surpasses the limitations of the genre. The band will take to the Skullcandy Stage on every date of the 2010 Vans Warped Tour.

LONGWAY – Returning for their third consecutive summer on the Vans Warped Tour, LONGWAY have cemented their reputation as hardworking road dogs. Continuing to travel in support of their Old Shoe Records’ follow-up, Junkie, the band will join up with the caravan for the West Coast run during the last weeks of the tour. This no frills rock n roll punk outfit will perform songs from Junkie, including their single “Out There” featured on the 2010 Warped Tour Compilation and “Honey” featuring Patricia Day of Horrorpops.

THE SPARRING – As the newest addition to the Old Shoe family, The SPARRING is also the freshest on the scene. In less than one year, this project fronted by former Dear & Departed drummer Joel Bourne, on the strength of a self-produced 3-track EP, landed a record deal with Old Shoe and the coveted BBQ band slot on the 2010 Warped Tour. Having just emerged from the studio, THE SPARRING will also launch their Old Shoe Records debut produced by Marc Canatta. A potent fusion of punk rock brass and hardcore explosion, these boys will be setting more than a grill on fire.
