Memphis natives What We Do In Secret are proud to premiere their new song, “Blackout: A Sudden Exit,” in support of their upcoming full-length album to be released early 2018. The band has been a driving force in hardcore for the Midsouth since their formation in 2012. Vocalist Josh Adams is known for his vulnerable lyricism and powerful delivery on stage. “Blackout is a song that has set the tone for what we are trying to say with our next record,” he said to HM. “We want to honor struggle but offer the hope we have found through struggles.”

“Loss of loved ones, depression, sickness, etc., tend to cause us to retreat into ourselves. However, it’s in these times when we need those who love and care for us the most. It’s those relationships that help us find meaning even in the madness of terrible circumstances. That meaning is the tone we are trying to create.”

“Blackout” is the first that fans have heard from the band since their debut album, The Migration (2014), recorded and produced by Bobby Lynge of Fit for a King. With a new lineup and a wealth of new material, What We Do In Secret is sure to make some noise with their sophomore release.
