Tonight, HM is proud to premiere “What is Real,” the second video in a three-part video series from Emuness. The Jacksonville, FL-based quartet released the first video, “Chapter VIII,” a little over a month ago. The first video and song dealt with the nature of conversation surrounding mental health, encouraging those who suffer to speak with people in relationships they trust. The second video in the series extends that philosophy, writing more in-depth about the issues of those who suffer.

We spoke again with drummer Robert Roman about the ideas behind “What is Real”:

“Aside from being the heaviest song on the album, the lyrics are also some of the more darker lyrics I wrote. We wanted to write about problems people face day to day. Chemical imbalances are a real thing people face every day, schizophrenia being one of them. I wrote ‘What is real’ to convey the dark side of a mind affected by this imbalance.”

The song comes from the album Equilibrium scheduled to hit stores and streams on May 26, 2018.
