Today, HM is proud to premiere the newest music video from Fault Lines for “High Strung.” The song comes from the band’s sophomore EP, Such is Life, released in late January (and premiered right here on HM). The band, hailing from Chattanooga, TN, wrote their debut EP, 2151, in 2014. Vocalist Corey Pettit previously told us he is “sure a lot of the things that we’ve written about lyrically will strike a few chords — addiction, anxiety, depression, to name a few. We hope the music incorporates everything people knew about us musically prior to this album.”

We also spoke with guitarist Dan Willwerth about the song.

“At first, ‘High Strung’ just sounds like a fast, pissed off song. To me, it’s about not being satisfied with the cards life hands you and sitting idly by as everything crashes around you. Sometimes, you have to make your own way and only accept the best for yourself. It’s a lot of emotion in a pretty short song. So I feel the speed and aggression has merit. It’s a fun song to play and let everything out that you’ve been holding in.”

“High Strung” is the first track and the second single from Such is Life. If you dig the sound, you can purchase the album through iTunes.
