“Give up coffee once a month, save a life,” rings the tagline from Heartsupport, the haven for those who feel outcast, lost, suicidally depressed or otherwise at the end of their rope. The organization, founded and currently led by August Burns Red frontman Jake Luhrs, launched a new campaign today asking those in the scene to forgo coffee on cup of coffee a month, roughly $3, to help. (HM Magazine is participating and has already taken the pledge.) Luhrs had this to say about where your money is going:

We want to sponsor tours. We want to have our own conferences. We want to provide with professional counselors. We want to build our knowledge of how we can help them.

If you have any questions about this, please let us know. We are here to help #unitethescene and give every ailing heart an ear to heart.
