should i stay or should i go?

Speaking of staying or going… I’ve got mixed feelings at the moment. I have tickets and a photo pass with my name on it for a Kiss concert tonight in Austin. I could be rocking right now, but I’m behind on deadline, so I need to stay here and lay out pages, write, etc. I just finished the “Hard News” section and now I’ll work on some articles. I need to tackle the Living Sacrifice cover story…

Howdy friends

Can I get your opinion on something?

Should we make some of these shirts … or not?

The design is from a back page from an older issue of HM (HM #124, which I think was the Mar/Apr 2007 issue. (You might remember it…)

The first thing I want to gauge from you is how you like the design. Do you think it’ll sell?

I’m having second thoughts, myself.

Further down below is another example, which shows how it would look size-wise on an Adult XL, which is, say 12 shirts out of the 96 we would get made. We don’t get a huge demand for that size these days with all these skinny kids running around, hahah.

And (at the bottom) is a raw image of the imprint colors on a white background, to possibly give you some perspective on what color ink we’re talking about. By the way, the color of the shirt proposed is “camel.”

So, whattya think? Should I rush this through and try to get them delivered to us to sell before Christmas? Or will it be too late by then?

Thanks for sharing your thoughts…

I agree with Dawn. Great design; in fact, I tore the page out of that HM issue and hung it on my wall. It would be cool on a shirt, but I’d go with a bigger size and a different color combo. Maybe white/grey/black? The camel/orange just isn’t doing it for me.

I think the design is too busy and maybe a little over done. Word-picture combo makes me think back to less favorite tour shirts from the 90’s. But maybe that’s just me.

Not a fan of the color either.
